Program

The DCS Mentoring Program is one of the best of its kind, bringing together Black professionals from all walks of life for the sole purpose of saving our young men.

The DCS Mentoring Program mentors 50 young men between the ages of 7 and 17 over the course of 15 weeks. We meet on Saturdays, except for an occasional field trip and holidays, at Miami Central in the Media Center, from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The cost if $500 per 15 week Session.  

The curriculum covers a number of important topics, including:

• Avoiding gang violence;
• Exploring and solving self-hatred;
• Respect for women;
• Financial literacy;
• Understanding our history, heritage and culture;
• Etiquette essentials for young men;
• Trip to a restaurant;
• Trip to a sporting event;
• Trip to a detention center;
• Health and fitness;
• and much more...

Parents can see previous graduating classes (links below) and register their children for future sessions.
